On the field, his team was 16-0 and his offense had just finished a historically prolific season with an NFL-record 589 points. Away from the game, he had a wife and two young children, all happy and settled in New England. For a guy 3 1/2 months short of his 32nd birthday, Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels had a pretty good hold on life.
